Ernestine Mcelhone

Ernestine McElhone of Roscoe, NY formerly of Deer Park, Long Island, NY, a homemaker, died Sunday, April 12, 2015 at her home with her loving family at her side. She was 88.

The daughter of the late Louis R. and Ernestine Jacobi Maerz, she was born November 15, 1926 in East Meadow, NY.

Ernestine had volunteered for over 10 years at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NYI� where she enjoyed helping registrants in the Adult Day Health CareI� amongst delivering mail to other departments. On the side she crocheted blankets and scarfs which she lovingly gave away.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen Anderson and her husband Clifford of Roscoe, NYI� her son, David Favreau of Deer Park, Long Island, NYI� one surviving sister, Anna RellisI� one surviving brother, William MaerzI� four grandchildren, Michelle Scanna and her husband David, Christopher Anderson and his wife Katherine, Joseph Anderson and his fiancAC.e Nicole Feller, and Stacy AndersonI� six great grandchildren, Talan, Easton, Spencer, Connor, Brianna, and BraedonI� and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Gerard Favreau and later by her second husband, John McElhone.

A Memorial of her life will be Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 3 to 5 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.
