Evelyn Carr

Evelyn A. Carr of Middletown, NY, peacefully passed away December 14, 2022 in the comfort of her daughter Lisa's home with her family by her side.  She was 74.

The daughter of the late Theron D. Davenport and Ethel L. Finkle-Philo, she was born March 22, 1948 in Roscoe, NY.

Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandma and GiGi; she loved being a stay-at-home mom and homemaker.  She often cooked and baked for her family.  Her passion was her rock flower gardens, relaxing while watching all birds and wildlife, watching football and western movies. She was a master at any craft she was given and she enjoyed putting puzzles together.  Her favorite time was spent with family, watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren growing up.  In the past few years, Evelyn lived with her daughter Lisa whom took wonderful care of her.

Survivors include her children, Paul Roberts and his wife Reita of Penn Yan, NY, Lisa Roberts of Shohola, PA, Warren J. Roberts of Middletown, NY, and Kim Carr of Shohola, PA; six grandchildren, Paul J. Roberts, Amanda L. Zimmerman, Joshua W. Roberts, Jason E. Roberts, Brittany N. Dibble and Zackary M. Astras; eight great grandchildren Alexis, Cameron, Sawyer, Sullivan, Beau, Barrett, Arianna, and Aliyah; two sisters, Ellen Bush and her companion Steve Dreher and Barbara Viele and her husband Art; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Warren W. Carr, whom she married on September 27, 1980; her parents, Ethel Finkle-Philo and Theron D. Davenport; her brother, Thomas Davenport; and her sister, Betty Faulkner Dunn.

Visitation will be Monday, December 19, 2022 from 11 AM to 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.  Funeral services will begin at 1 PM in the funeral home.  Pastor Margaret Tremper will officiate.

Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.
