Florence Ryan

Florence L. Ryan of Winchester, MA, formerly of Downsville, NY and Port Charlotte, FL, a home maker, died January 26, 2014 at the Aberjona Nursing Center, Winchester, MA. She was 98.

The daughter of the late Ernest and Florence Lytle Herzig, she was born March 4, 1915 in Ridgeway, Pennsylvania. .

Florence enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles, cooking and she loved the warm weather of Florida.

Survivors include one son, Alan Ryan and his wife Carol of Downsville, NY; one daughter, Eileen Breur and her husband Kenneth of Winchester, MA; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was predeceased by husband, James Ryan; and three sons, James Ryan, John "Jack" Ryan, and Robert Ryan.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 10AM to 12 noon in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 12 noon in the funeral home. Father Michael Shank will officiate.

Burial will be in the Paige Cemetery, Downsville, NY in the spring.
