Frank Yanoti Sr.

Frank Yanoti Sr., 82, passed away on April 24, 2025, in Wallkill, New York. The only child of Rocco Yanoti and Ernesta (Enes) Destefano Yanoti, he was born on January 18, 1943, in Queens, New York. Frank studied journalism at St. John’s University, served in the US Army, and devoted his life to his family and his passion: training and racing Harness Horses at Monticello Raceway and across the tri-state area. In 1969, he married Paula Carpenter.

He is survived by three children, Frank Yanoti, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Vanessa DeFonce, Lisa Ann Yanoti, and Tara Marie Altman and son-in-law Eric Altman; as well as five grandchildren, Mia, Ella, Julia, Bruce, and Grace.

Frank ended his brave battle with cancer on April 24, 2025, surrounded by his three children and passed peacefully. His family will hold a celebration of his life on Monday, April 28, 2025 from 5 to 8 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 10 AM in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 264 No. Main Street, Liberty, NY.  Father Edward Bader will officiate.  

Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
