Frederick Wegman

Frederick Eugene "Gene" Wegman of Roscoe, NY, a lifelong area resident, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Roscoe Regional Rehab. and Residential Health Care Facility, Roscoe, NY. He was 83.

The son of the late Frederick M. and Mary Rose Menges Wegman, he was born December 10, 1932 in Roscoe, NY.

Gene was a graduate of Roscoe Central School; he proudly served our country in the US Army from 1954 to 1957; and he had worked many years as a machinist for Channel Masters in Ellenville, NY. On April 19, 1962, Gene married Hudla Peterson Gilmore Wegman.

Survivors include his brother, Harold C. Wegman (Frances) of Walton, NY; a step son, Dennis Gilmore (Gloria) of Saugerties, NY; a sister-in-law, Marian Wegman of Swan Lake, NY; three grandchildren, Scott Gilmore, Karen Gilgert and Kelli Gilmore; two great grandchildren, Susanna Gilgert and Rocco Fortuna; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Hudla Peterson Gilmore Wegman; his parents; and three brothers, Paul, Donald, and Edward.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 16, 2015 from 11 AM - 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 1 PM in the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Partridge Island Cemetery, Fishs Eddy, NY.
