Gary D. Boyer of Liberty, NY, a retired Investigator for the New York State Police, died Saturday, March 17, 2018 at his home. He was 71.
The son of the late Robert and Isabelle Gregory Boyea, he was born April 29, 1946 in Watertown, NY.
Gary served with honor and distinction in the United States Marine Corps. and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received during the Vietnam War. He also was a proud member of the New York State Police, highly respected by his peers and the community he served as a uniform Trooper and Investigator in the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, receiving numerous commendations.
Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Blake and her husband John of Plattsburg, NY; and one grandson, Kody Blake.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 11 AM at St. John's Church, 18 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, NY.
