Genevieve Steele

Genevieve Mary Kelly Steele passed away peacefully at Achieve Rehab and Nursing Home on October 14, 2024. She was 89. She was born on March 10, 1935 in Union City NJ.

The daughter of the late William Kelly and Mary Vendetti Kelly. Genevieve was a long time waitress at the Rest Stop Diner and a cashier at Peck’s Market in Livingston Manor NY.

Genevieve leaves behind her loving family, half brother Bruce(Susan) DeGraaf children Edward (Karen) Gorr, Karen (Tim) Smith, Howard Gorr, Nora(Robert) Reising, Step-Son Brett(Donna) Steele, Joanne Gorr. Many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Luther Steele on September 6, 2024 and her parents.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to Livingston Manor Ambulance, PO Box 1 Livingston Manor NY. 12758. 

Genevieve will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. May her memory be a blessing to all.

Graveside services will be Friday, May 2, 2025 at 1 PM in Orchard Street Cemetery, Livingston Manor, NY.
