Giovanni Siciliano

Giovanni Siciliano of Liberty, NY, a retired police officer for the Italian Federal Police Department in Italy and a long time area resident, died Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at his home.  He was 82.

The son of the late Joseph and Cezaria Machania Siciliano, he was born December 3, 1934 in Bari, Italy.

Giovanni was a communicant of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Liberty, NY; and a retired Longshoreman in Brooklyn, NY.

Survivors include his wife, Vincenza Oliveri Siciliano, at home; two sons, Joseph Siciliano and his wife Bina of Staten Island, NY and Vito Siciliano of Staten Island, NY; two daughters, Maria Oliveri and her husband Antonio of Long Island, NY and Serafina Siciliano and her husband Ron Shea of Liberty, NY; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one niece and two nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 4 to 7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Friday, September 15, 2017 at 10 AM in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 264 North Main Street, Liberty, NY.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
