Gloria Sprague

Gloria Mae Sprague of Livingston Manor, NY, a teachers aide at the Livingston Manor Elementary School and a lifelong area resident died Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Westchester County Medical Center, Valhalla, NY. She was 65.

The daughter of Ella Mae Akerly Charter and the late Arthur Stickle she was born May 13, 1949 in Hurleyville, NY.

Gloria was an active member and layperson of the Parksville United Methodist Church, Parksville, NY and a Past Matron of the Sullivan St. Tammany Chapter #298 Order of Eastern Star, Livingston Manor, NY.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Sprague, at home; her mother, Ella Mae Charter of Liberty, NY; a daughter, Judy Graham-Baisley and her husband John of Grahamsville, NY; a son, David Graham and his fiancAC. Shannon Callahan of Loch Sheldrake, NY; two brothers, "Mickey" Stickle and his wife Laurie of FL and Dukie Charter and his wife Sally of Liberty, NY; two sisters, Roberta XXXXX and Debbie Bryant of SC; her step children, John Ackerley and his wife Penny of Liberty, NY, Walter (Mike) Ackerley and his wife Tracey of Liberty, NY, Bob Ackerley of Neversink, NY,Rose Yaun and her husband Stacey of White Sulphur Springs, NY, Maxine Pedro and her husband David of Livingston Manor, NY, Michael Sprague and his wife Cindy of Livingston Manor, NY, Robert Sprague of Livingston Manor, NY, Phillip Sprague and his wife Karen of NC, step daughters in law, Joy Ackerley and Sara Sprague; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, and two step sons, Edward Ackerley and Thomas Sprague.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Order of the Eastern Star will conduct services Thursday evening at 7 PM in the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 8, 2014 at 11AM in the Parksville United Methodist Church, Parksville, NY. The Rev. Francis Waite will officiate.
