Gordon Owens

Gordon A. Owens of Callicoon Center, NY, a highway paver for Lancaster Development, Goshen, NY and a long time area resident, died Saturday, August 20, 2011 in Hortonville, NY. He was 38.

The son of Geraldine Pinckney Owens and the late Edgar L. Owens, he was born December 22, 1972 in Brooklyn, NY.

Survivors include his wife, Dana L. Owens of Vero Beach, FL; one daughter, Brittany Owens of Boca Raton, FL; one son, Brandon Owens of Liberty, NY; his mother, Geraldine P. Owens of Liberty, NY; his biological mother, Edith Wallace of Brooklyn, NY; four brothers, Anthony Wallace of Brooklyn, NY, Randolph Owens of Pennsylvania, Corey Maeweather of Pennsylvania, and Anthony Owens of Liberty, NY; five sisters, Tanya Wallace of Liberty, NY, Marsha Wallace Owens of Monticello, NY, Maureen Owens of Port Jervis, NY, Tyra Maeweather of Port Jervis, NY, and Collette Wallace of Brooklyn, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

In a family statement it was said "Gordon will always be remembered for his stories, his genuine smile and his heart of gold."

Visitation will be Saturday August 27, 2011 from 10 AM - 1PM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Saturday August 27, 2011 at 1 PM in the funeral home. The Rev. Harry Brown, Jr., will officiate.
