Harold Stephenson

Harold G. Stephenson of Swan Lake, NY, a retired self-employed carpenter and a lifelong area resident, died Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center, Liberty, NY. He was 83.

The son of the late Clarence and Mildred Cole Stephenson, he was born May 18, 1932 in Monticello, NY.

Harold proudly served Our Country in the US Army from 1952-1954.

Survivors include four sons, Richard Stephenson of Phoenix, NY, David Stephenson of New Port, TN, Thomas Stephenson of Swan Lake, NY, and Daniel Stephenson of Monticello, NY; two daughters, Susan Helmuth and her husband Gary of Youngsville, NY and Marcie Cobb and her husband Clayton of Perry, IA; two brothers, Donald Stephenson of Bethel, NY and James Stephenson of Bloomingburg, NY; several cousins including Robert Pintler; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Ralph and Leo.

Graveside services with military honors were held at the Sullivan County Veteran's Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
