Helen Flanagan

Helen Flanagan of Liberty, NY, formerly of New York City, NY, a home maker and a long time area resident, died Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Achieve Rehab. and Nursing Facility, Liberty, NY.  She was 93.

The daughter of the late Bernard and Ellen McGovern Jackson, she was born June 10, 1927 in Bronx, NY.

Helen was a communicant of Good Shepard Church in Upper Manhattan, NY; she enjoyed walking and visiting parks.

Survivors include her daughters, Denise Burkart and her husband Edward of Jeffersonville, NY and Janice Flanagan of New York City, NY; her sister, Patricia Smigiel and her husband Robert of Carlsbad, CA; two grandchildren, Erika Lange and her husband Ralf and Jesse Burkart and his wife Dawn; two great grandchildren, Ethan and Noah.

She was predeceased by her husband Matthew Flanagan.

Visitation was private.  Memorial mass will be schedule at a later date. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
