Helen Spencer

Helen V. Spencer of Canandaigua, NY, formerly of Roscoe, NY, a homemaker, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the Ontario County Health Facility in Canandaigua, NY. She was 95.

The daughter of the late James W. and Sarah E. Temple Null, she was born March 1, 1917 in Canonsburg, PA.

Helen was a member of the United Church of Roscoe and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the church. She enjoyed baking, knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by a son, Paul B. Spencer and his wife Debbie of Krugerville, TX and a daughter, Shirley Lafler and her husband Punch of Middlesex, NY; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil Spencer on Dec. 22, 1959; by a son, Donald Spencer and a daughter, Donna Mae Spencer.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 7-9 PM and Sunday September 23, 2012 from 1-1:45 PM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY.

Funeral services will be Sunday, September 23, 2012 at 2 PM in the United Church of Roscoe Church Street, Roscoe, NY. The Rev. David Collins will officiate.

Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.
