Heinrich Karl Rieping

Heinrich Karl Rieping of Dumont, NJ, a retired electrician died Monday, December 4, 2023 at Hackensack Meridian Hospital, Hackensack, NJ.  He was 91.

The son of the late Heinrich and Helene Hotte Rieping, he was born March 28, 1932 in Germany.

Heinrich proudly served our country in the United States Army; he was an avid wood worker, gardener, reader and he enjoyed working on cars.

Survivors include his wife of over 60 years, Thelma Simpson Rieping, at home; his children, Heinrich Rieping, Jr. and his wife Carol, Joseph Rieping, Elisabeth Moll and her husband Bob, and Robert Rieping and his wife Kathryn; his sisters, Annelise Gene, Elfriede Marien, and Renate Offers; his in-laws, Ruth Pippo, Shirley Fuller, Beatrice Bloom, David Simpson and his wife Sharon, Erich Offers; his grandchildren, Harrison, Holden, Holly, Matthew, Lilalyn, Ava, and Aurora; one great grandchild, Koa; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Heinrich and Helene Hotte Rieping; in-laws, Kennie and Helen Simpson; and his siblings, Elisabeth, Hugo, Maria, Helene, Josef, Lore and Eleonore.

Visitation will be Friday April 26, 2024 from 10 AM to 12 Noon in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Rosoce, NY.  Funeral services will begin at 12 Noon in the funeral home.   Burial with military honors will follow in the Bon Air Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.
