Hildegarde (Hilde) M. Bury

Hilde died peacefully At Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, NY. She was 90 years, 9 months and 27 days old. The daughter of the late Eugene and Elizabeth Newman and stepfather Fred Heflick, she was born in Callicoon, NY. and grew up in Obernburg, NY.

 After marriage she spent several years in the area before moving to California for three years. Hilde then spent the next 68 years in Roscoe. 

Hilde was a waitress for many years at the Antrim Lodge, while mostly being a homemaker and raising five children. Hilde and her late husband Ron made trips to Wyoming and other parts of the country along with several cruises. Hilde was very fond of dogs, especially her beagles. Cooking and sewing were some of her favorite pastimes.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Brookdale Vestal West, especially Lucy, for taking such good care of our mother for the last three years of her life. 

Hilde is survived by one daughter, Sharon Mootz of Rapid City, SD; three sons Ronald and his wife Phyllis of Roscoe, NY; Glenn and his wife Patsey of Gooding, ID; and Chris of Roscoe, NY; her grandchildren Loren Mootz of Beatrice, NE; Erin Trojanowski of Rapid City, SD; Darren Bury of Narrowsburg, NY; and Brian Bury of Vestal NY; several great grandchildren; and one sister, Joan Walters of Spring Hill, FL along with a half-sister, Betty Ann of Coxsackie, NY.

Hilde will join her late husband, Ron of 61 years, her son Scott and son-in-law Barry Mootz in eternal rest.

Graveside services will be held privately at a later date.
