Iris Pedreira

Iris May Pedreira of Liberty, NY, a retired secretary for Consolidated Insurance Company in Brooklyn, NY, and a longtime area resident, died Monday, February 1, 2016 at Achieve Rehab. and Nursing Facility, Liberty, NY. She was 79.

The daughter of the late William and Freda Hatcher, she was born June 16, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY.

Iris was a communicant of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Liberty, NY.

Survivors include her daughter, Doreen Pedreira of Claryville, NY; her son, Glenn T. Pedreira, Sr. of Stuart, FL; two sisters, Juliana Frangipane of Liberty, NY and RoseMarie Barbato of Monticello, NY; two grandsons, Glenn T. Pedreira, Jr. and his wife Cindy and Rocco Pedreira and his wife Katie; three great grandchildren, Isabella Rose Pedreira, Glenn T. Pedreira, III, and Angelo Marroquin; and several nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 7-9 PM and Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Friday, February 5, 2016 at 10 AM in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 264 No. Main Street, Liberty, NY. Father William Scafidi will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery in Pinelawn, NY.
