Isac Galant

Isac Galant of Liberty, NY, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 at his home. He was 73. The son of the late Moszek and Dvojara Jurckiewicz Galant, he was born May 17, 1941 in Santos, Brazil.

Isac was an entrepreneur and a business man of many trades. He owned his own store on Main Street in Liberty in the late 1970's into the mid 1980's called Isac's Auction Outlet. Isac traveled back and forth over the years to Brazil. He also lived in Florida & Georgia for sometime before coming back to Liberty. Most recently you could find Isac at the Cyber Shack, his son Maurice's store. Isac loved his kids and grandchildren very much they all were his prize possession. He will be greatly missed by many.

Survivors include his brother Aaron and his wife that reside in Brazil. His children Seymour Galant, Penelope Galant-Gozza, Maurice Galant (his wife Kristine Galant), Monica Leizens and step son Vinni Ascencao. His grandchildren Eric Galant, Marcello Gozza, Dominic Gozza, Dimitri Gozza, Alexis Leizens, Ayden Leizens, Kenton Galant. Several neices and nephews, including Marcelo Galante that reside in Brazil as well. His first wife, Leah Galant (Florida).

He was predeceased by his second wife Sonia Ascencao-Galant, and his sister Ester Galant of Brazil.

Visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2014 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Graveside services and burial will be Friday, January 2, 2014 at 1:30 PM in the Liberty Cemetery, Cold Spring Road, Liberty, NY.
