Jake Eherts

Jake John Eherts of Liberty, NY, a student at SUNY New Paltz in New Paltz, passed away unexpectedly on September 14, 2021. He was 19 years old.

The son of Douglas K. Eherts and Michelle Oldfield Eherts, he was born April 12, 2002, in Middletown, NY.

Jake was a graduate of Tri-Valley High School, Class of 2020 and a graduate of Sullivan Community College, Class of 2021. Jake had been a member of the Tri-Valley Theater Club.  He was a history buff and hoped to become a Social Studies teacher one day.  Jake also loved animals and gaming.

Jake is survived by his parents, Douglas and Michelle Eherts, of Liberty, NY; his sister, Jessie Eherts, of Liberty, NY; his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Susan Oldfield, of Howells, NY; his paternal grandparents, Judith and Walter Eherts, of Liberty, NY; his great grandmother, Virginia Laird, of Unionville, NY; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  Jake was a loving son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend.  He will be missed by all.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 3 to 5 PM at the Harris Funeral Home, West St. and Buckley, Liberty, NY with funeral services held immediately after with The Rev. Bridgette LeConey officiating.
