James L. Dinnerstein of Liberty, NY, a retired manager for the Stevensville in Swan Lake, NY, and a long time area resident died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at his home.
The son of the late Morris and Shirley E. Lipman Dinnerstein, he was born December 25, 1930 in Hollywood, FL.
For many years James had been a partner in the Stevensville which had been family owned and operated for three generations. He later worked as a manager for Staples in Monticello, NY. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, woodworking, and golfing with his children. He was a master at map reading and enjoyed many cross country trips with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Linda T. Watson, at home; two daughters, Stacy Abbott and her husband Rob, and Meagan Dinnerstein; two sons, Jessie Dinnerstein and his wife Joanne, and Sean Dinnerstein; seven grandchildren, Makenzie, Ty, Mariah, Melissa, Hunter, Angel, and Jessie, Jr.; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and also by a beloved cousin Joanna Gayle.
Visitation will be Friday, February 24, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 10 AM in the funeral home. The Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate.
