James Hanratty

James F. Hanratty of Rock Hill, NY, formerly of Roscoe, NY; a long time area resident, died Monday, January 14, 2019 at the Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY.  He was 57.

The son of the late James F. and Mary C. Martin Hanratty, he was born November 29, 1961 in Bronx, NY.

James was a mechanic at M&M Auto Group in Liberty, NY and had worked for Kirchner’s Chevrolet in Roscoe, NY; he was an avid sports fan.

Survivors include his wife, Angela “Angie” Hanratty, at home; one daughter, Krystle Hanratty and her companion Roger Kearney of Rock Hill, NY; one granddaughter, Alayna Kearney; five sisters, Anna Lamphier of Otisville, NY, Kathy Lunde of FL, Deborah Hanratty of Westbrookville, NY, Ida Lamphier of Haverstraw, NY, and Mary Kay Martin and her husband Dan of Westbrookville, NY; two brothers, Brian Lamphier and his wife Cheryl of Haverstraw, NY and John Lamphier of Wappinger Falls, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of his Life will be Wednesday January 23, 2019 at 5:30 PM in the Days Inn, Sullivan Ave., Liberty, NY.
