Jane Hollister

Jane Q. Lott Hollister of Beaverkill, NY and Melbourne, FL, a homemaker and a longtime area resident, died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at The Fountains in Melbourne, FL. She was 89.

The daughter of the late Leonard C. and Lilian Macdonald Quackenbush, she was born March 7, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY.

Jane was a former treasurer of the Beaverkill Community Church; a former member of the Roscoe-Rockland Garden Club. She was also a volunteer at the Roscoe Free Library, and she was a long time treasurer and administrator of the Clear Lake Corporation, Beaverkill, NY. She enjoyed gardening and traveling with her husband JL, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren at Clear Lake.

Survivors include her husband, James L. Hollister, at home; two daughters, Virginia Lott of Salinas, CA and Linda Lott Hollister and her husband James A. of Melbourne Beach, FL; two sons, Steve Lott and his wife Maureen of Beaverkill, NY, and Bruce Lott and his wife Judy of Walkill, NY, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Lester M. Lott; and her sister, Nancy Bidwell.

Funeral services will be private.

Burial will be in the Beaverkill Cemetery, Beaverkill, NY.
