Janet Ward

Janet G. Ward of Liberty, NY, a retired employee for medical records at Walnut Mountain Care Center, Liberty, NY and a life long area resident Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Achieve Rehab. and Nursing Facility, Liberty, NY. She was 74.

The daughter of the late Ernest W. and Goldie M. Clapper Kracke, she was born June 3, 1942 in Liberty, NY.

Janet was one of the original members of the Liberty Volunteer Ambulance Corp.

Survivors include her children, Debra Dowe and her husband Allen of Ferndale, NY, John Hall, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Kingston, NY, Carolyn Turner and her companion Joel Lawrence of West End, NC, and Cathy McKay and her husband Thomas of Parksville, NY; nine grandchildren, Luther Dowe, Melinda Furstman, Morgen Hall, Melissa McCombs, Michael McKay, Thomas McKay, II, Kimberly McKay, William Staesser, and Samantha Carlson; ten great grandchildren, one son-in-law, Bill Staesser; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by one daughter, Margaret Staesser; and two brothers, Arthur Kracke and Eugene Kracke.

Visitation will be Friday, January 27, 2017 from 5 to 7:30 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.
