Janie Dowe

Our sweet, precious Janie Ethel returned Home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 25th, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.

Cherishing the many happy memories of Janie's life are her parents, Lynn and Shari Dowe of Ferndale, her brother Benjamin and sisters Heather, Grace, Sarah and Molly; her maternal grandparents, Earl and Marian Myers of Jeffersonville, her aunts, uncles and cousins of Jeffersonville: Judy, Anthony, Michael, Marianne and Elaine Durkin; Dawn, Pete, Austin, Rianne and Sawyer Erlwein; Janet Myers and Ed, Kevin and Nile Puerschner; Gary, Traci, Danielle and Nicholas Myers; - her paternal grandparents Luther B. and the late Doris F. Dowe of Ferndale, her aunts, uncles and cousins of Ferndale: Susan, Christopher and the late J.O. Fancher; Allen, Debbie, Keith and Melinda Dowe; Larry, Tina, Corey, Jesse, Brenden, Tyler, Megan and Hunter Dowe.

Janie Ethel made every day an adventure with her energetic happiness. Always living life to the fullest with a smile on her face, Janie brought light and joy into the lives of everyone she knew.

Janie Ethel has been happily busy every minute - playing forward in AYSO soccer, as an enthusiastic member of the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child Committee, and she was involved in the Intergenerational Crocheting Club at the Sull. Co. Co-op Extension. She wholeheartedly enjoyed many exciting activities such as trips to the beach, horseback riding, fishing, ice skating, camping, skiing, sleigh-riding, boating, hiking, berry-picking, gardening, baking, dancing, swimming, bicycling, reading, playing games, doing art projects, having tea parties and picnics, and caring for her pet dogs, horses, chickens, kitten and fish.

Janie has been such a thoughtful, kind little helper who especially enjoyed studying the details of God's creation - her favorite color was orange, and she also loved seeing every cheerful color which can be seen when looking at the sky - including the sparkling stars, snow and frost.

We are very thankful for the gift of enjoying each special moment with such a delightful and fun young lady. We know that God will take special care of her, and that He has many exciting adventures and projects for her to work on. We are looking forward to seeing her again soon.

Visiting hours will be on Friday, January 30th, from 4pm to 7pm at the Harris Funeral Home in Liberty. A celebration of Janie's life will be held at 12pm on Saturday, January 31st, at the Bethel Woods Event Center. Please wear cheerful colors to honor Janie Ethel.
