Jarrett Buck

Jarrett M. Buck of Livingston Manor, NY, a landscaper and stone mason and a life long area resident, died Saturday, August 28, 2021 at his home.  He was 44.

The son of Harvey and Lillian Lawrence Buck, he was born June 4, 1977 in Loomis, NY.

“Jarrett was a young man who loved life with a lifelong addiction that took his life.  Addiction is an illness; we didn’t cause it; we couldn’t control it and we are sad we lost a person who had so much potential.  If our admitting our son was an addict will help one person and save one life, then maybe that will be Jarrett’s legacy.”  He was a graduate of Roscoe Central School and an avid sports fan, he always cheered for the NY Mets and NY Jets.

Survivors include his parents, Harvey and Lillian Buck of Roscoe, NY; one brother, Brett M. Buck of Roscoe, NY; one daughter, Brooke M. Buck of Brooklyn, NY; his companion, Dawn Kotler of Livingston Manor, NY; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and his dog, Niko.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 5 to 8 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 3, 2021 at 10 AM in the funeral home.  Pastor Margaret Tremper will officiate.

Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.
