Jeanne Killian

Jeanne Killian of Liberty, NY the retired co-owner with her husband of Farkill Communication in Liberty, NY and a long time area resident, died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at her home with her loving family at her side.  She was 89.

The daughter of the late Stuart F. and Dorothee Triest Farrand, she was born September 3, 1928 in Staten Island, NY.

Jeanne was a communicant of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Liberty, NY; a 65 year member and past regent of Court Mary Anthony Catholic Daughters; past president of the NYS Telephone Answering Association; past president of the New England Association of Telephone Messaging; and past president of the Association of Telephone Messaging Services International.  She was a graduate of Paine Hall School of Nursing.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Killian of Liberty, NY; her son, Patrick Killian and his wife Elissa of Liberty, NY; six grandchildren, Charles, Alison, Mikaela, William, Harrison and Travis; her nieces and nephews, Brent Farrand, Jr., Dr. Carol Sgambelluri and her husband Richard, Dean Farrand and his wife Kathe, Martha Bremer and her husband Robert, and several great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Leon Killian on June 24, 2007; and two sons, Michael Killian and John Killian.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 12, 2018 from 4 to 7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.  The Catholic Daughters will conduct services Sunday evening at 7PM in the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Monday, August 13, 2018 at 11:45 AM in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 262 North Main Street, Liberty, NY.  Monsignor Edward Straub and Father Edward Bader will concelebrate.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
