Jerry G. Ackerley

Jerry G. Ackerley of Delhi, NY a retired logger and a life long area resident died Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Wilson Hospital, Johnson City, NY. He was 77.

The son of the late Carl and Thelma Schrieber Ackerley, he was born August 21, 1947 in Livingston Manor, NY.

Jerry was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed stockcar racing. 

Survivors include his son, Jerry Ackerley and his wife Christina of Delancey, NY; three daughters, Betty Jo Mootz and her husband Scott of Roscoe, NY, Kimberly Ann Brachner and her husband Randall of Appleton, WI and Stephanie Ackerley of Tanberg, NY; seven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Joann Genosa Ackerley; one brother, Jack; and one sister, Sharon.

Visitation will be Monday, December 16, 2024 from 11 AM to 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY. Burial will be in the Lew Beach Cemetery in the Spring.
