Jerry Lair

Jerry S. Lair of Roscoe, NY, an employee for Ethan Allen, Newburgh, NY, and a long time area resident, died Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, NY. He was 60.

The son of the late Lewis O. and Mildred P. Evans Lair, he was born August 29, 1955 in El Centro, CA.

Jerry was an avid NASCAR fan, following Jeff Gordon and Chase Elliot, and loved to watch the races every Sunday. He was also a longtime fan of the San Francisco 49ers.

Survivors include his wife, Marion C. Stephenson Lair, at home; three daughters, Melissa Lair of Grahamsville, NY, Nicole Lair of Livingston Manor, NY, and Pauline Totten and her husband Jeff of CA; two step-sons, Derek Adams and his wife Jamie of Liberty, NY and Joseph Brewer and his wife Debbie of Liberty, NY; one step-daughter, Stacey Balbirer and her husband Ira of MD; several grandchildren including Joseph, Jr., Kristyn, Kaelyn, Ryan, Kaitlin, Brooke, Payton, Juliana and Alicia; three brothers, Paul Lair and his wife Darlene of CA, John Lair and his wife Mary of CA, and Joseph Lair and his wife Sharlene of WA; many nieces and nephews; and his feline companions, Dusty and Missy.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Donna and Pat.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 3, 2016 from 4-8 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.
