Jo Bowers

Jo Ann Bowers of Roscoe, NY, a sales clerk for the Roscoe Little Store, Roscoe, NY and a long time area resident died Sunday April 24, 2016 at her home with her family by her side. She was 72.

The daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Lucas Wegman, she was born November 3, 1943 in New York City, NY.

Jo Ann was a member of the United Church of Roscoe; a 25 year member of the Roscoe-Rockland Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary; and an avid bowler and gardener.

Survivors include her devoted husband who she married on December 29, 1963, Randall S. "Randy" Bowers, at home; three daughters, Margo Bowers-Hendrickson and her husband William J., Jr. of Hurleyville, NY, Roni Jo Bowers of Middletown, NY, and Rachelle A. Bowers of Liberty, NY; three sisters, Patricia Beck of CA, Susan Martin and her husband Howard of Binghamton, NY, and Carol Lagueux and her husband Paul of Grahamsville, NY; two grandchildren, Anna Josephine Hendrickson and Noah Matthew Hendrickson; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by one brother, Warren Beck; and one sister, Betty McDonald.

Visitation will be Friday, April 29, 2016 from 10-11 AM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11 AM in the funeral home. The Rev. Joanne Utley will officiate.
