Joan Doland

Joan C. Doland, 85, of Liberty, NY died Friday June 18, 2021.  Joanie lived a long and wonderful life as a long-time resident of Liberty, NY.  Her career spanned decades in the Sullivan County hospitality industry to include the Holiday Inn and The Liberty Diner.  Her smile and personality were felt by all that crossed her path.  Lovingly called Joanie, by friends and family.

Joan was predeceased by her son, John.  She leaves behind her son Michael of Florida, her son, Mark and his wife Debbie of Liberty, her daughter, Denise of Youngsville, NY, her grandchildren, Nora, Max, Lacey and her partner Tom, Benjamin, Robert Festa and his wife Melissa, Robert, Sean, Victoria, Lexi and her husband Brandon; two great grandchildren, Harley Rose and Ava Mae.

Her hobbies included her extensive book collection and elephant collections!  She loved music, listening to old school vinyl.

Visitation will be Monday, June 21, 2021, from 2-4 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 21, 2021, at 4 PM in the funeral home.  Father Antony David will officiate.

Memorial contributions in Joanie’s name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
