John Pemberton

John C. Pemberton of Callicoon Center, NY, a retired Power Maintainer for the City of NY Transit Authority, and a longtime area resident died Saturday, October 29, 2022 at his home.  He was 94.

The son of the late Clarence and Lilian Valentine Pemberton, he was born May 24, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY.

John served Our Country in the US Army during the Korean War, he was a member of the American Legion Post # 178 in Murrells Inlet, SC.  He was an avid golfer well into his 90's.

Survivors include his devoted wife of sixty two years,Frances Vacca Pemberton, two sons, John Pemberton of Callicoon Center, NY and Paul Pemberton and his wife Claudia Montano of New York, NY; one daughter, Anne Pavlick and her husband William of Myrtle Beach, SC; four grandchildren, Christina Cooper, Joseph Condello, Paul Pemberton, Jr., and Amanda Condello; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Eileen O’Connor.

Visitation will be Friday, November 4, 2022 from 11AM to 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 4, 2022 at 11 AM in the funeral home.  Father Edward Bader will officiate. Military services conducted by the US Army will begin at 1 PM in the funeral home.
