John Sherwood

John L. Sherwood, a lifelong area resident of Roscoe, NY passed away quietly on January 6, 2019 at the Roscoe Regional Rehab. and Residential Health Care Facility, Roscoe, NY.  He was 61.

The son of Elizabeth H. McAdams Sherwood and the late John C. Sherwood, he was born May 12, 1957 in Livingston Manor, NY.

He proudly served Our Country in the US Marine Corps. from 1977 to 1980.  He had worked for Delaware Valley Job Corp. in Security.

Survivors include his children, Rusty Watts and his wife Amanda, John J. Sherwood and his wife Mae, Patrick Sherwood, Brian Sherwood, John H. Sherwood, Michael Wills and his wife Melissa, and Amanda Wills; his mother, Elizabeth H. McAdams Sherwood and her companion James J. Atkins; two sisters, Polly Phillips and her husband Paul, Sandy O’Dell and her husband Clifford; two brothers, Donald Sherwood and Arnold Sherwood and his wife Doreen; along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Rhonda Sherwood; his father, John C. Sherwood; one sister, Ruthy Banker; and three brothers, Willian Sherwood, Orsal Sherwood, and Merton Sherwood.
