Johnny L. Singleton, Jr.

Johnny Lee Singleton Jr., of Monticello, NY, died Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at his home. He was 57.

The son of Hester M. Rivers Singleton and the late Johnny L. Singleton, Sr., he was born November 13, 1966 in Queens, New York.

The Singleton’s gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in the Queensbridge Houses where Johnny was born and raised. He attended the OTC Vocational School and graduated in 1987 with his High School Diploma. He was a janitor for the Sullivan County ARC.

Survivors include his mother, Hester M. Singleton, of Monticello, NY; his sister, Sharon Singleton-Alomar and her husband Madinah; his two brothers, James L. Singleton and Thomas Singleton, Sr.; three nieces, Luvenia Boynton, Dominique Dupree, and Paxton Singleton; one nephew, Thomas L. Singleton Jr.; his sister-in-law, Jessican Singleton; one great nephew, Steven Boynton, Jr.; three great nieces, Leenia Boynton, Salena Boynton, and Nylee Dupree and a host of cousins and friends who will continue to miss Johnny.

He was predeceased by his father after a battle with cancer on October 9, 2003.

Funeral services will be private.
