Josephine Cross

Josephine Cross of Liberty, NY, a former Day Care Provider and a lifelong area resident died Friday, January 12, 2024 at the Roscoe Regional Rehab and Residential Health Care Facility in Roscoe, NY after a long battle with her illness.

The daughter of the late Donald C. and Josephine R. Gelardo Sassano, she was born December 22, 1967 in Liberty, NY. She was 56. Josephine enjoyed playing bingo and crafting.

Survivors include one daughter, Kristina Potera and her husband Bob of Schenectady, NY; one son, Andrew Cross and his wife Kaitlyn of Liberty, NY; one grandson, Luca Cross; two brothers, Anthony Sassano and Donato Sassano; two sisters, Donna McGee and Diane Sassano; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 4PM - 6:30 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral Serices will be Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 6:30 PM in the funeral home. The Rev. Edward Sostak will officiate.

Dignified cremation will be provided by the Harris Crematorium, LLC.

Memorial contributions in Josephine's name may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Assoc. of America, 375 Kings Highway North, Suite B, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
