June Sosko

June Sosko of Callicoon, NY a long time area resident, died surrounded by family Monday, January 27, 2025 at Valley View Nursing Home, Goshen, NY. She was 98.

The daughter of the late Daniel and Barbara Rosenberger Ryan, she was born January 26, 1927 in Queens, New York.

June had worked as a Registered Nurse and Teacher at JobCorps in Callicoon, NY for 21 years. Before that, June was an Operating Room Nurse in NYC and Long Island. Her and her husband were active members and volunteers at Holy Cross Catholic Church. June loved animals, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.

Survivors include her children, June Crandall and her husband Richard of Narrowsburg, NY and Peter Sosko and his wife Marta of Tulsa, OK; her grandchildren, Danielle Jordan, Caitlin Mullally and her husband Matthew, Andrew Crandall and Quinn Sosko; and her great grandchildren, Madison, Sawyer and Rhyan. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Sosko.

Graveside services and burial will be in the Hortonville Cemetery, in the Spring. Donations can be made in June’s name to the Sullivan County SPCA.
