K. Dwayne "Rocky" Rhodes

K. Dwayne "Rocky" Rhodes of Cochecton, NY, a retired Executive Vice President for Jeff Bank and a longtime area resident died Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility in Liberty, NY. He was 87.The son of the late Kenneth A. and Delores Noble Rhodes, he was born August 22, 1937 in New Kensington, PA.

Rocky retired from Jeff Bank in 2000, and broke ground on his new passion, with his beloved wife Rebecca. Family Business, LLC was formed in the summer of 1995, where Rocky diligently worked in tax preparation for 25 years. Rebecca and staff continue to carry on the legacy they have built. He loved interacting and socializing with his clients. In addition, he was a long time member of the Methol Hunting Club. His passions included traveling in the RV, listening to bluegrass music, golfing and playing the autoharp.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca L. Ihlefeldt Rhodes, at home; two daughters, Debby Barratt and her spouse Alan of Vermont, and Stacie Rhodes and her partner, Scott of Livingston Manor, NY; two sons, Travis Rhodes and his spouse Joe of Waterport, NY and Kenny Rhodes and his spouse Katie of Middle Grove, NY; two brothers- in- law, Brian Ihlefeldt and his spouse Lucy of White Lake, NY and Bradd Ihlefeldt and his spouse Dora of Cochecton, NY; one sister in-law, Roberta Hoyt of Charleston, SC; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his devoted neighbors, Carl and Eileen. He was predeceased by two sons, David and Daniel Rhodes; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur and Alicia Ihlefeldt; two brothers-in-law, Robert Hoyt and Brent Ihlefeldt and his spouse Donna.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 4-7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.
