Katherina Gossweyler

Katherina B. Gossweyler of Roscoe, NY, a retired chamber maid and a longtime area resident, died Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, NY.  She was 83.

The daughter of the late Matthais and Anna Beck, she was born December 30, 1935 in Hungary.

Katherina enjoyed spending time on her porch, admiring her flowers and feeding her pet deer; she loved traveling and sightseeing.

Survivors include her daughter, Gabriele Portz Levine of Monticello, NY; her son Frederick M. Portz and his companion Carrie Neer Molinari of Roscoe, NY; and two nieces Michaela and Gabriala.

She was predeceased by her sister, Anna Bausch; and her son-in-law, William “Bill” Levine.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 10 to 11 AM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.

A memorial service will be Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11 AM in the funeral home.  The Rev. Edward Sostak will officiate.
