Kathryn Mickelson

Kathryn E. Mickelson of Liberty, NY, a retired employee for Falls Poultry, South Fallsburg, NY, and a long time area resident, died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY. She was 56.

The daughter of Alice Sloane Morse and the late Paul W. Thomas, she was born December 26, 1956 in New London, CT.

Survivors include husband, Fred Mickelson, at home; her mother, Alice Morse of Cheshire, CT; two sisters, Anne E. Caruthers of Derby, CT, and Susan Misenheimer of Norwich, CT; two brothers, Michael Thomas of Wallingford, CT, and Alfred Thomas of South Burlington, VT; and several nieces and nephews.

Kathy was an avid teddy bear collector; she was an animal lover who had several cats and birds, including her pet, Freddy.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 10 AM in the Harris Funeral Home West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY. The Rev. Robert Nadelen will officiate.
