Kathryn Sager

Kathryn M. Sager of Liberty, NY, a lifelong area resident, died Sunday, April 17, 2016 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. She was 86.

The daughter of the late John and Kathryn Schriever Sager, she was born December 22, 1929 in Liberty, NY.

Kathryn was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Liberty, NY; she was a graduate of Liberty Central School Class of 1948; she attended SUNY Cobleskill before being employed by Fuelane; she later held senior secretary positions with Knolls Atomic Power Labratory, Schenectady, NY and with IBM World Trade Division, Poughkeepsie, NY. Following, Kathryn worked as a human resource administrator for NYSEG, retiring in 1994 after 27 years of employment. Kathryn enjoyed photography, genealogy, traveling and she always had a concern and love for animals.

Survivors include one sister, Myrtle Zurawski of Liberty, NY; one niece, Karen D. Zurawski of Albany, NY; and one nephew, John Zurawski of Hamlet, NC.

She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Frank Zurawski; and her nephew, Dr. Glenn Zurawski.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 11 AM to 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 1 PM in the funeral home. The Rev. Johanna Andritz will officiate.

Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery, Cold Spring Rd., Liberty, NY.
