Kenneth Bingay

Kenneth G. Bingay of Hankins, NY, a carpenter for Ed LeRoy Construction in PA and longtime area resident died Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the Grover M. Herman Hospital, Callicoon, NY. He was 55.

The son of the late Robert and Roberta Tyler Bingay, he was born January 15, 1963 in Patchogue, Long Island, NY.

Kenneth proudly served Our Country in the US Army from 1980 to 1983. He was an avid NY Jets and NY Mets fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR, his favorite driver was Rusty Wallace.  He loved playing softball and horseshoes, playing his guitar, and listening to Peter Frampton.

Survivors include his children, Kimberly Sheldon and her husband Dan of Roscoe, NY, Samantha Bingay and her boyfriend Kip Gerow of Swan Lake, NY, Craig Gorton and his wife Denise of Jeffersonville, NY and Deanna Gorton of Grahamsville, NY; his granddaughters, Emily, Lillian and Kathryn; his companion of 17 years, Nina Gorton of Hankins, NY; one brother, Robert Bingay and his wife Bethany of Jeffersonville, NY; one sister, Karen Clifford-Mattera and her husband Anthony of Jeffersonville, NY; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Bruce Huggins and his wife Patricia of Roscoe, NY.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 4 to 7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.

Graveside services and burial with military honors will be Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 12 Noon in the Lutheran Cemetery, Jeffersonville, NY.
