Kenneth Houghtaling

Kenneth M. Houghtaling of Liberty, NY, a logger for Gil Trujillo Logging and a lifelong area resident, died Sunday, May 1, 2022.  He was 35.

The son of Vernon and Marjorie Brownhill Houghtaling, he was born July 2,1986 in Harris, NY.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, driving ATVs, and riding dirt bikes.

Survivors include his father, Vernon Houghtaling of Liberty, NY; his mother, Marjorie Houghtaling of Monticello, NY; his three sons, Shane Turner, Jaxon Houghtaling and Monroe Houghtaling; his two daughters, Shelby Houghtaling and Ava Houghtaling; four brothers, Daniel Houghtaling and his companion, Kristin Hopkins of Monticello, NY, Robert Houghtaling of Monticello, NY, Cody Houghtaling and his companion, Lexy Chadbourne of Maine, and John Houghtaling of Monticello, NY; five sisters, Dawn Houghtaling of Bethel, NY, Edith Knapp of Florida, Jennifer Brock and her husband, Merlin of Roscoe, NY, Star Houghtaling of Roscoe, NY, and Kim Houghtaling and her companion, Chris Smiarowski of Monticello, NY; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his brother, Vernon Houghtaling Jr, and his sister, Rebecca Crown.

Visitation services will be Friday, May 6, 2022 from 4 PM to 6 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral service will be Friday evening at 6 PM in the funeral home.  The Reverend Bridgette LeConey will officiate.
