Kenneth E. Knudsen

Kenneth E. Knudsen of Roscoe, NY a long-time area resident died Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Garnet Health Medical Center, Middletown, NY. He was 93.

The son of the late Peder and Edna Hansen Knudsen, he was born May 12, 1931 in Eltingville, Staten Island, NY.

Ken was retired from the NYC Dept of Marine & Aviation. Ken proudly served our Country in the US Marine Corps. during the Korean War; he was a member of the Roscoe United Church, a member of the Staten Island Lodge #66 F&MA; he was a member of the Twin Village Golf Club; a former member of the Tennanah Lake Golf and Tennis Club; a former member of the Roscoe Kiwanis Club; a former member of Methol Hunting Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Dawn Lotti and her husband John of FL and Donna Vallone and her husband Philip, Sr. of Roscoe, NY; five grandchildren, Philip (Kelley) Vallone Jr., Nicholas (Kayla)Vallone, Jonathan (Angela) Lotti, Katrine Hamlett & her fiancé Zach, and Andrew (Stephanie) Lotti; and eight great grandchildren, Leonardo, Jack, Emilia, Isabel, Dane, Luke, Bailey & Hayden. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Irene Knudsen.

The family would like to acknowledge his caregivers which was lovingly called TEAM KEN! He could not have had a better team that included Alicia Faulkner, Donna Bowers, Ann Rajewski and Christina Ackerley. We also need to acknowledge Anthony Vallone for all the love, care, and company over the years along with their favorite BK meals together every Tuesday and Thursday. A big thank you to the team from Orange-Sullivan Hospice as well.

Visitation will be Friday, February 28, 2025 from 11 AM to 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY. Funeral services will begin at 1 PM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ken’s name may be made to Roscoe-Rockland Volunteer Ambulance Corps. PO Box 321, Roscoe, NY 12776.
