L. Darbee

Lydona Yvonne "Von" Darbee of Roscoe, NY, a retired co-owner of M.J. & E.C. Darbee & Son, Inc., Roscoe, NY and a lifelong area resident died Sunday, July 24, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. She was 93.

The daughter of the late Willis Lyndon and Verna Warfield Early, she was born October 27, 1922 in Hancock, NY.

Yvonne was a 1939 graduate of Hancock Central School; Grew up one of four sisters known as the "Early Girls from Early's Knob" in Fishs Eddy, NY; she was a member of the Roscoe Presbyterian Church, Roscoe, NY; and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Lodge # 298, Livingston Manor, NY.

Survivors include her children, Claude Barnhart and his wife Sandra of Memphis, TN, Lloyd Barnhart and his wife Sandra of West Sand Lake, NY, Gerald Barnhart and his wife Mary of Shchaghticoke, NY, Deborah Darbee Hendrickson and her husband Bill of Roscoe, NY, Susan Darbee Early and her husband Dan of Downsville, NY, Floyd "Tim" Darbee and partner Donna Baker of Roscoe, NY and Tom Darbee and his wife Karen of Roscoe, NY; 18 Grandchildren, Heather Barnhart Patrick and her husband Jerry, Amy Barnhart and partner, Eric Borden, Jeff Barnhart, Brian Barnhart and his wife Candy, Francis Barnhart and his wife Judy, Sam Early and his wife Nikole, Erin Barnhart Dewey and her husband Rick Dewey, Russell Barnhart and his fiancAC.e Norabelle Greenberger, Caitlin Early West and her husband Adam West, Bill Hendrickson, Jr. and his wife Margo, Darren Hendrickson and his wife Kelly, Nicole Hendrickson Huedsch and her husband Todd, Shannon Penfold and her husband Mike, James Early and his wife Lucy, Seth Darbee, Mary Early, Aggie Winningham and husband Derik, Alex and Rebecca Banrhart, Ethan Darbee, and Kelly Darbee; 21 great grandchildren, Justin Rodwell, Brandon Rodwell, Anna Hendrickson, Noah Hendrickson, Lily Patrick, Everet West, Myles Barnhart, Aiden Penfold, Olivia Hendrickson, Reece Hendrickson, Logan Huedsch, Payton Huedsch, Nicholas Borden, Nathan Dewey, Lianna Darbee, Emma Penfold, Abigail Barnhart, Russell West, Charlotte Barnhart, and Maxwell Early; one great-great grandchild Rex Winningham; and, her good friend and caregiver, Ann Zamenick; several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws including, Nancy Kirchner, Lyndon LaGrange, Yvonne Rowan, Arta Lee LaGrange, Jane LaGrange, Betsy Burkett, Walter Burkett, and Colleen O'Brien.

She was predeceased by her husband, Floyd K. Darbee on September 27, 1989; and her three sisters, Norma Early Bennett, Geraldine Early Burkett, and June Early LaGrange.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 10AM -1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Avenue, Roscoe, NY.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 1PM in the funeral home. The Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate.

Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.
