Laurel Meyerhoff

Laurel Meyerhoff of White Sulphur Springs, NY, a retired librarian for AIL, Melville, NY and a long time area resident, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Achieve Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility, Liberty, NY. She was 89.

The daughter of the late F. Mason and Avis Wilson Dowsey, she was born April 7, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY.

Survivors include one sister, Iris Dowsey of New York City, NY; and one brother, Maitono Dowsey of New Jersey; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services and burial were Monday, March 17, 2014 in the All Saints' Cemetery, Great Neck, NY.
