Lawrence "Larry" T. Heintz, Jr. of Monticello, NY, custodian at Community Services, Liberty, NY, died Sunday, July 1, 2015 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. He was 68.

The son of the late Lawrence Sr. and Julia Ash Heintz, he was born May 15, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY.

Larry was a graduate of the Thomas Jefferson High School in Brooklyn, NY; he was an avid musician and played the electric guitar in his band, "On The Roxx" with his son Mitchell.

Survivors include his wife, Kelly Knack Heintz, at home; three sons, Matthew Heintz of Monticello, NY, Marc Heintz and his wife Carrie of Liberty, NY; and Mitchell Heintz and his wife Michelle of Livingston Manor, NY; one sister, Patricia O'Leary of Long Island, NY; his mother-in-law, Betty L. Knack and her companion Henry Hermann of White Sulphur Springs, NY; one sister-in-law, Shirley Dole and her husband Larry of Bradley, NY; one brother-in-law, Forrest Knack of White Sulphur Springs, NY; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Grey-Cee.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 6, 2015 at 10 AM in the funeral home. Monsignor Edward Straub will officiate.

Burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs, NY, at a later date.

Memorial contributions in Larry's name may be made to the Sullivan County SPCA, PO Box 995, Rock Hill, NY 12775.
