Leah Galant

Leah Galant of Port St. Lucie, FL, formerly of Liberty, NY, a retired Secretary for Mountain View Farms Inc. in Ferndale, NY and Lipton Toyota, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 75.

The daughter of the late David and Chana Lehrer, she was born June 18, 1946 in Berlin, Germany.

Leah cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren. She loved shopping, spending time in the sun, and later found joy in painting with water colors.

Survivors include children; son & daughter in law Seymour & Shannon Galant (Florida); daughter Penelope Gozza (New Orleans); son and daughter in law Maurice & Sari Galant (Florida) & daughter Monica Galant Leizens (Georgia) She was blessed with seven grandchildren; Marcello Gozza, Dominic Gozza, Dimitri Gozza, Eric Galant, Alexis Leizens, Ayden Leizens and Kenton Galant, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister, Sonia Musa.

Visitation will be Monday, October 25, 2021 from 9 to 10 AM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will begin at 10 AM in the funeral home. Rabbi Zierler will officiate.

Burial will be in the Ahavath Israel Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
