Leonard Sanders

Leonard Sanders of Loch Sheldrake, NY, a retired master carpenter and a long time area resident, died Monday, June 27, 2016 at Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. He was 71.

The son of the late Edward Sr. and Florence Mae O'Dell Sanders, he was born January 14, 1945 in Patterson, NJ.

Leonard enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Lori Meyer Sanders, at home; six sons, Dante VanDunk of Liberty, NY, Leonard Edward Sanders of PA, Dennis Meyer of AL, Branden Sanders and his wife Gloria of Napanoch, NY, Tracy Sanders of Loch Sheldrake, NY, and Matthew Sanders of Loch Sheldrake, NY; five daughters, Dawn Sanders of NJ, Christina Wolff and her companion Tom of Loch Sheldrake, NY, Anette Beach and her husband Michael of Liberty, NY, Danielle Curry and her husband Robert of Woodbourne, NY, and Tiffany Sanders of Liberty, NY; two sisters, Hilda Miller and her husband Harold of OR and Armena Sanders of CA; several grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law, Christina Curry of Grahamsville, NY.

Visitation will be Friday, July 1, 2016 from 10 to 11 AM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 1, 2016 at 11 AM in the funeral home. The Rev. Linda Yurtch will officiate.
