Lewis Hendrickson

Lewis E. Hendrickson of Roscoe, NY, a life long area resident, died Saturday, October 30, 2021 at his home, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease, his family at his side.  He was 84.

He was the son of the late George and Molly Grosso Hendrickson, he was born December 31, 1936 in Hancock, NY.

Lew worked as an electrician with IBEW 363, working at the Monticello Raceway until an accident left him unable to work. He was a fan of the Buffalo Bills. He was a fan of the New York Yankees. And a fan of all things golf. And as many will remember, he was a huge fan of the Roscoe Blue Devils, (Where nearly every referee knew his name-“Lewie-you’re outta here!”) Lew loved working with his hands. He loved wood working, oil painting and deep sea fishing. Lew spent many years battling Parkinson’s Disease. Although the disease has ultimately won, he may now rest peacefully.

Lew is survived by his three children, Colleen Bowers (Bucky), Michelle Browne (Bill), and Lew Hendrickson (Dana); his ten grandchildren, Jenna Gorr (John), Danielle Clare (Andrea), Justin Bowers (Ashley), Dustin Sullivan (Ashley), Alyssa Bowers, Willie Browne (Emilie), Mollie Browne, Donovan Hendrickson, Katie Hendrickson and Arianne Passaro; he also leaves behind his future legacies of great grandbabies; his brothers, George Hendrickson (Judi) and Bill Hendrickson (Debbie); as well as countless cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by the love of his life, Margo Donovan Hendrickson; and one sister, Joyce South.

Visitation will be Monday, November 1, 2021 from 11 AM to 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.  Funeral services will be at 1 PM in the funeral home.  The Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate.

Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.
