Linda Watson

Linda T. Watson of Liberty, NY the President of EFFORTS and a lifelong area resident died Monday, March 22, 2021 at her home.  She was 70.

The daughter of the late Charles, Sr. and Ruth Ann Larkin Watson, she was born October 15, 1950 in Liberty, NY.

Linda was a graduate of Liberty Central School and had worked for Bell Atlantic for several years before she became the President of the Emphysema Foundation for our Right to Survive, a non–profit organization which takes an active role in promoting research for more effective treatment and, hopefully, a cure for Emphysema and related lung diseases.

Survivors include two sons, Jessie Dinnerstein and Sean Dinnerstein and his wife Tawni; one daughter, Meagan Dinnerstein; one sister, Jo Anne Friedman and her husband William; one brother, Michael Watson and his wife Denise; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband James Dinnerstein, daughter Stacey Abbott and brother Charles Watson, Jr.

Visitation will be Friday, March 26, 2021 from 4-7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.  Social distancing guidelines must be met, a limited number of people, at one time, will be allowed in the funeral home, facemasks are required.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 10 AM in the funeral home.  The Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate.  Live streaming of the service can be seen on the Harris Funeral Home Facebook Page.
