Louise Fingers

Louise Fingers of Monticello, NY, a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and former bus driver for the Sullivan County Office for the Aging, died Sunday, September 19, 2021 at the Sapphire Nursing Home in Newburgh, NY.  She was 75.

The daughter of the late Elmer and Amanda Boles Folsom, she was born May 10, 1946 in New Albany, MS.

She is survived by two daughters, Venus Fingers of Monticello, NY and Athena Fingers-Bellamy and her husband Robert of Felton, DE; one son, Donald Fingers of Monticello, NY; five sisters, Lucille Herbert and her husband Edward of Liberty, NY, Claudette Folsom of Monticello, NY, Edith Sheppard and her husband Bert of Pembroke Pines, FL, Brenda Folsom of Chicago, IL, and Christine Williams and her husband Samuel of Hornell, NY; two brothers, Willie Folsom and his wife Niece of Holly Springs, MS and John Folsom of Ithaca, NY; five grandchildren, Jaclyn Bellamy, Montrel Williams, Tyrell Fingers, Tyriek Fingers and Lavelle Fingers; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Dwight Folsom and Samuel Folsom; one sister, Della Mae Sheppard and a granddaughter, Jessica Fingers.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 10 AM until 12 noon in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be 12 noon in the funeral home.  The Rev. Norman Graves will officiate.

Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery Cold Spring Road, Liberty, NY.
