Lucille W. Hewitt of Callicoon, NY, a retired registered nurse and longtime area resident died Thursday, August 4, 2022 at her home. She was 66.
The daughter of the late Henry and Geraldine McGuire Kaminski, she was born August 22, 1955 in Brooklyn, NY.
Lucille was a woman of faith and was a member of the Lighthouse Ministeries in Liberty, NY where she was also a Sunday School teacher. She had worked at different medical facilities in Sullivan County and had retired from the Monticello VA Clinic.
Survivors include three daughters, Krysia Jones of Woodbourne, NY, Susan Furgison of Parksville, NY and Dakotah Pratt-Hewitt of Jersey City, NJ; two sons, Anthony Furgison of Liberty, NY and Matthew Hewitt and his wife Pearl Tung of Brooklyn, NY; one sister, Geri Watts and her husband Bob of Punta Gorda, FL; five grandchildren, Paula, Rosa, Elizabeth, Donovan and his wife Dahlia, and Shane; one great grandson, Benjamin; one niece, Rene Watts and her husband Bruce Allen; one nephew, Rob Watts; a great niece, Mae; and a great nephew, Marshall.
She was predeceased by her husband, The Rev. Richard J. Hewitt in 2019; and two brothers, Henry and Paul Kaminski.
Graveside services and burial will be Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 10 AM in the Fosterdale Cemetery Route 17 B, Fosterdale, NY. The Reves. Richard and Kathie Ienuso will officiate. Following the service, everyone is welcome to join the family at Villa Vista Drive, Unit 6 - Park at the Villa Roma and take a shuttle to the unit.
